My Special Cats: Boo-Boo, Mama, and Herbe!

All Birth dates: unknown. Approx. 2004-2005
Place found: W. Eugene wetlands Bertelsen Rd., ODOT, BLM area, south of w. 1st ave where Lane County animal shelter is. (except Herbe).
Disposition: Boo-Boo, was very wild, born feral, weaned kitten, too shy to approach camp within 50 ft. Begins to eat cat food placed at safe distance, until gradual trust brings him closer.
Both cats adopted me, trusted me and began sleeping with me inside the tent from the cold weather.
He meets Mama; black and gray, w/white chin, chest and belly tabby; No tail, already was spayed(meaning prior human contact), denotes previous owned cat who was either dumped, ran away, or ?
Both cats feed at my homeless camp, we begin to bond, along with mom & dad, and four or five young adult raccoon’s, who also liked cat food; but I fed them stale bread to take the edge off their aggressiveness. We all got along!
Both cats would stand guard at the tent door, and would not allow the raccoons inside–they would bat them in the head if they tried! Those raccoons actually respected the 2 cats, although they outnumbered them.
Present Status: Neutered/Spayed. Mature Male Yellow or orange fur, w/yellow eyes.
I feel wonderful that I was able to give a home to them, at the same time I became un-homeless!
